Graduate Business Studies in Grenoble

Overview

College of Business at Southern Illinois University is proud to announce their continued partnership with the Grenoble Ecole De Management in offering our MBA students the opportunity to study abroad in France.  Grenoble Ecole De Management ranks as one of the top 50 worldwide French Business Schools:
 
The Certificate in Innovation, Design Thinking and Intrapreneurship has a modular structure so that the tracks can be followed independently (participating in one, two or three-week courses) or in a block, allowing participants to obtain a certificate at the end of the 3 weeks of training.

Highlights of Grenoble

Wide range of sport facilities: golf courses, indoor skating rink, ski resorts less than an hour's drive, and large natural parks.
Forty concert halls, more than a dozen theaters, and many museums.  Location of European Headquarters for many U.S. companies.

Eligibility

GPA: Minimum of 2.5

  • (Students who have lower than a 2.5 GPA must get special approval from Darla)

  • The SIU College of Business Study Abroad trip to France is open to all Master/MBA majors with at least 3 years work experience.

1 Week Option - $2,992.50
2 Week Option - $4,055.00
3 Week Option - $5,055.00

Cost includes:

  • Tuition for each course, group work, case study and business simulation

  • Company visit/guest speaker covering different industries and types of organizations

  • Networking events

  • Welcome and farewell dinner, wine tasting and French cooking class

  • Insurance through SIU

Other costs-What is not Included:

  • R/T Airfare to/from Europe

  • Transportation while in France

  • Passport

  • Laundry

  • Most meals

  • Other personal expenses

Payment Plan
Installment 1 - $150 Non-refundable deposit is due with application
Installment 2 - $1,000 Due March 1, 2018
Installment 3 - $Balance of Program Charge Due April 1, 2018

Installments must be made by check or money order made payable to SIUC at the Study Abroad Office located in Woody Hall.

Financial Aid

Financial Aid is available for SIU Carbondale students and requires full-time registration and other conditions.  You should consult with the Financial Aid Office to get an estimate of what you might have available.  Programs that take place after the end of the Fall Semester/commencement are considered as Spring Semester Programs.  Programs that take place after the end of the Spring Semester/commencement are considered Fall Semester Programs.

Study abroad has scholarships that are available for SIU undergraduate students.  You can apply for those here “Salukis Abroad Scholarship”.​

Housing

Accommodations are not included in program charge.

Transportation
R/T Airfare and transportation in France is not included in program cost. 

Application Deadline and Procedure

Applications are due by March 1, although earlier application is advised. We cannot guarantee that spaces will still be available by this time.

To apply, simply click on the Apply Now button in the top section of the program information. A $150 deposit is due upon application, $50 of which is not refundable. This $150 is included in the program charge. The deposit will need to be paid by check or money order at the Study Abroad Office in Woody Hall once you have submitted your application online.

Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation policies apply to all programs with the exceptions noted:
90+ days before departure: $50 application charge plus any non-refundable charges
60+ days before departure: $100 plus any non-refundable charges
30+ days before departure: $150 plus any non-refundable charges
Up to day of departure: $200 plus any non-refundable charges
After departure: no refunds

Specific programs may have a different cancellation timetable which overrides the standard policy.

Programs, whether SIU Global Seminars or affiliated study abroad providers, may require an additional non-refundable payment. That should be listed in their program information and is considered as part of the non-refundable charges. Other non-refundable items include (but are not restricted to) such items as airline tickets, hotel deposits and similar items. Generally speaking, we can only refund what we can recover. All program rate are subject to change based on unavoidable cost changes.

Withdraw Policy

Please contact us immediately if you are unable to participate in a program. It is the applicant's responsibility to notify Study Abroad Programs and the instructor about withdrawals. This must be done in writing--e-mail is acceptable--as well as withdrawing through MyStudyAbroad. You will be considered as a continuing participant until you notify us. If you need to withdraw, it is in your best interests to withdraw as soon as possible and to verify that we have received your written notice.​
